Samhita Shiledar

Samhita Shiledar is a manager at the Office of the Chief Scientist. Samhita works on the India Mobility Project, developing a clean, shared, and electric mobility plan for an affordable, efficient, and reliable transportation future for India. She is also working on Factor Ten Engineering, creating whole system design techniques for industries, buildings, and vehicles to achieve radical energy efficiency at lower cost.

Prior to joining RMI in 2017, Samhita was working with Pidilite Industries Limited, the biggest adhesive manufacturer in India, as head of production planning. Samhita’s past work experience includes manufacturing operations and pollution control at Pidilite Industries, plant designing at Reliance Industries, and microgrid assessment and water treatment design at the University of Michigan.

Samhita also co-founded Cheruvu, a precision agriculture company focusing on providing best nutrient management practices for small farmers in developing countries. She has been working on the India Mobility project with RMI since its establishment to develop the transportation model/excel calculator and the India Leaps Ahead report.
