Shalene McNeill Ph.D., R.D.
Shalene McNeill, Ph.D., is a registered dietitian and executive direction of human nutrition research at NCBA, a contractor to the Beef Checkoff Program. Her research interests include protein’s role in weight management, the contribution of animal source foods to a healthy, sustainable diet, and beef’s function as a nutrient-rich food across the lifespan. She grew up in a Texas farming and ranching community where she and her husband are raising their two daughters. Dr. McNeill received her B.S. in Biomedical Science and her Ph.D. in Human Nutrition, both from Texas A&M University.
