Sohail Hasnie

Sohail Hasnie is principal energy specialist for the Central and West Asia sector of Asian Development Bank. He has applied new technology to many ADB projects as an energy specialist since 2001 in countries including Afghanistan, Cambodia, the People’s Republic of China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Mongolia. Before joining ADB, he worked on wholesale electricity market design, pricing regulation, energy efficiency and demand management for the state power utility and independent regulator in Melbourne, Australia. He received an MS in Hydropower Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology and an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of Melbourne.
