Sonay Aykan

Sonay Aykan is a sustainability expert and believes in creating a more sustainable future by translating environmental and social impacts into business performance. Sonay serves as Associate Director, Sustainability and ESG at Colgate-Palmolive Company, where he leads the creation, management and disclosure of sustainability data, as well as integration of sustainability metrics into business risks and opportunities. He leads the efforts to embed UN Sustainable Development Goals into Colgate’s Sustainability & Social Impact Strategy by creating roadmaps and educational material. Sonay has a PhD. in Urban Systems from Rutgers & NJIT, an MA in Sociology and a BA in Economics from Bogazici University. He also holds a SASB FSA credential. He is an avid cyclist.
