Watershed
Taylor Francis is co-founder of Watershed, a software platform that helps businesses run a high-impact climate program. Taylor has long held a passion for climate action. After seeing Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth," he felt determined to devote his professional life to the cause, and spent his high school years giving talks and developing collateral for children and their parents about the impacts of climate change. Watershed grew out of this work at Stripe, where he helped develop and launch its first climate program. Watershed has amassed an impressive customer roster in just its first year — including Stripe, Shopify, Airbnb, Zendesk, Doordash, ServiceNow, MongoDB and Block — who are using the platform to take meaningful action to reduce and remove their carbon emissions. The company has also garnered the attention and support of notable names in Silicon Valley, and is the first company John Doerr and Mike Moritz have backed together since Google.
