Topher Buck is a Project Manager at NEWMOA, where he leads the Interstate Chemicals Clearinghouse (IC2), including several online database projects, alternatives assessment initiatives and development of a multi-state approach to product disclosure and testing.
Before joining NEWMOA in early 2014, he worked for Arcmetra, a small software start-up in Cambridge, MA. From 2006 through 2011, he directed GreenBlue's Chemicals Program and CleanGredients, which provides information on the environmental and human health attributes of chemicals to support safer product formulation. He has 20+ years of experience working with government agencies, private-sector firms, nonprofit organizations and academic institutions and a diverse background encompassing chemistry, environmental science, toxicology, energy, information design and IT systems development. He did his undergraduate work at Wesleyan University and graduate work at Yale and UC Berkeley.
