David Rachelson is Rubicon’s Chief Sustainability Officer, spearheading the company’s sustainability efforts focused on achieving the company’s mission to end waste through increased landfill diversion and innovative circular economy solutions. Rachelson represented Rubicon at the 2017 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where the company received the prestigious Circular Economy Digital Disruptor Award.
Prior to joining Rubicon, Rachelson worked as a management consultant with PwC, and was a member of the Corporate Responsibility & Public Affairs department at InterContinental Hotels Group (NYSE: IHG), where he supported the development of the company’s Green Engage platform that provides hotel operators with tailored and cost-effective sustainability solutions.
Rachelson earned an M.B.A. from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and a B.A. from George Washington University. He is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the Advisory Board of the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business at Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business.
