Rachel Fakhry

Rachel Fakhry is an analyst for the Climate & Clean Air and Midwest programs and is involved with multiple NRDC modeling efforts. She also focuses on policy efforts that enable the increased deployment of clean energy in NRDC’s midwestern focal states. Prior to her current role, Fakhry was a Schneider Fellow in NRDC’s Washington, D.C., office, where she focused on state Clean Power Plan compliance, supporting strong federal energy efficiency policies, and defending the U.S. Department of Energy’s clean energy budget. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the American University of Beirut and a master’s in management science and engineering from Stanford University. She is based in the Washington, D.C., office.
