Claude Mandil
Claude Mandil is an active member of the International Advisory Panel of the Global CCS Institute.
Previously, he held the role of CEO at the Institute for Industrial Development (IDI), and subsequently became director general of the Bureau of Mines and Geology (BGRM). He also acted as director general for Energy and Raw Materials at the Ministry of Industry, Post and Telecommunications. He became France’s first representative on the IEA’s Governing Board and served as executive director thereafter.
Claude represented France as president of the Nuclear Safety Working Group of the G7, following which he was named managing director of Gaz de France, and then chairman and CEO of the Institute Français du Pétrole.
