Daniel Hill is the Director of Business and Innovation at Environmental Defense Fund where he leads efforts to amplify climate innovation within business. His work focuses on accelerating the adoption of new climate solutions and enabling changemakers to scale environmental innovation. Daniel also oversees EDF’s Innovation Fund - an internal incubator to unleash creative solutions within EDF to protect the environment - and hosted the Degrees Podcast mini-series The Year of the Climate Job. In 2022, Daniel created the #OpenDoorClimate movement, a community of climate professionals that have spoken with thousands of green jobseekers to help demystify climate careers.
Prior to EDF, he cofounded Green Impact Campaign, a nonprofit that trained 4,000 students to conduct energy assessments for small businesses using cloud-based tools. Daniel has been recognized as an Echoing Green fellow, Halcyon Incubator fellow, Clean Energy Leadership Institute fellow, and the recipient of the Alliance to Save Energy's Rising Star of Energy Efficiency Award and Net Impact's Force for Change Award.
