Peter Asmus has been covering energy and environmental issues for 30 years. Author of four books, including "In Search of Environmental Excellence," "Reinventing Electric Utilities," "Reaping the Wind" and "Introduction to Energy in California," he has served as a consultant to the California Energy Commission, CAISO, NREL, GE, Siemens, ABB, Hitachi, Schneider Electric, Sunverge, Enbala, Spirae and many other private and public sector clients. He hosts his own radio show on KWMR and has appeared regularly on KQED. His articles have been published in the New York Times, Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Sacramento Bee and other leading newspapers. Since 2009, he has headed up Navigant Research's microgrid research practice, authoring more than 50 reports on microgrid-related topics.
