At the Erb Institute, Sam is focusing on renewable energy and environmental securities markets. He spent this past summer working for Shepherd Advisors, a management consultancy advising a variety of clients on how to enter, or expand within, the cleantech and sustainable business markets. Prior to attending Michigan, Sam worked for three years as a legal assistant at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York City in the Mergers & Acquisitions Division. At DPW, he helped draft contracts and manage logistics for public and private transactions across various industries. He also worked for an outsourcing consulting firm in Shanghai called Creative Resources. Sam received his B.A. from Middlebury College in Vermont; he majored in East Asian Studies with a focus in Chinese language and Political Science. In his free time he enjoys skiing, golf, tennis, baseball and playing music.
