As the electric vehicle (EV) project manager for The Climate Group, Sarah is managing the launch and strategy development of the organization's EV20 initiative, bringing together leading cities, states and nations together with fleet users, financiers and the electric vehicle value chain to push for a fast transition to EVs.
Based in The Climate Group's San Francisco office, Sarah also works to mobilize Climate Group member corporations on the West Coast in the transition to a low carbon economy.
Sarah was the lead author of "The Business Guide to the Low Carbon Economy: California," a publication on California's climate change policy and strategies for business leaders to establish a carbon footprint, reduce emissions and purchase offsets. Areas of previous work include knowledge transfer between California and India and mitigation strategies in the forestry sector.
Prior to joining The Climate Group, Sarah co-authored a National Wildlife Federation publication on the impact of climate change on California wildlife and developed curriculum with The Planning and Conservation League for workshops on the California Environmental Quality Act. She has also worked for KQED Public Broadcasting, taught biology at the college level and conducted and published research in marine biology.
A new global alliance chaired by Prince Albert II of Monaco and convened by The Climate Group has set a target of getting 1 million more electrical vehicles on the road in the next five years than automakers had planned to bring to market.
