Vesela Veleva
Vesela Veleva works at Boston College and teaches at the Carroll School of Management.
She manages applied research initiatives, including development of assessment tools and indicators, comparative performance benchmarking, and approaches for aligning CSR and business strategy.
Vesela has 16 years' experience in the environmental and sustainability field, in particular in sustainability indicators, pollution prevention, clean production, environmental health and occupational health and safety.
Previously she was a Social Research Analyst at Citizens Advisers, the management company for Citizens Socially Responsible Mutual Funds. Vesela has a doctorate in Pollution Prevention and Cleaner Production from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and a Master's degree in Pollution and Environmental Control from the University of Manchester, UK. Dr. Veleva has published in CSR and Environmental Management, Journal of Cleaner Production, Greener Management International, and Applied Journal in Quality of Life, among others.
