Andrew Beebe, managing director of Obvious Ventures, talked about his transition from tech entrepreneur to clean-tech venture capitalist, and the proposed (and as of late, rejected) utility merger of NextEra and Hawaiian Electric (HECO) at the VERGE Hawaii 2016 conference.
"I think the transformational businesses of our times are going to be companies that solve massive systematic challenges. And I think it’s start-ups and innovations that bring us those solutions," said Beebe.
