Burt's Bees got into a room a few years ago with retailers, brands, suppliers and NGOs to talk about how to work collectively on sustainable progress in the beauty and personal care space. They defined metrics, talked considerations and set a crucial vision for the work. By cutting across supply chains, talking about human health and finding other metrics of success, they've been able to collaborate to define the vision for the space.
