Clean Energy's Ashley White on sustainable fuel in the transportation sector

March 12, 2019

Ashley White, director and head of corporate sustainability at Clean Energy, came to GreenBiz 19 to talk about how renewable natural gas is changing the fuel industry.

Clean Energy, the largest company in the U.S. that makes natural gas and renewable gas transportation fuel, is working to decarbonize its own supply chain and the fueling industry. Sourcing renewable natural gas from landfills, wastewater treatment facilities and pig and dairy farms (instead of traditional gas and oil) is already economic in some places now with regulatory mechanisms, and it's making more economic sense as demand grows among fleets and transit operators, to name a few.

She's excited about pursuing lofty goals. "Goals should make you nervous," she said."You need to challenge yourself."
