The implications of this transformation aren't as easy to describe, but one of the major ones is eliminating the negative impacts of extracted physical materials on the planet.
Kavin Hagen, vice president of ESG strategy at data and information management company Iron Mountain, believes that there are major sustainability opportunities for data and assets. The electricity powering the data management and online work was a large amount — but choosing to source from renewables instead cut down carbon footprints.
