Lance Hosey sees beauty in sustainable design

March 24, 2014

Buildings that look like living forests, not boxes. Bullet trains with noses modeled after the kingfish. Cars shaped like dolphins. Lance Hosey, CSO of the design company RTKL, believes these are the kinds of vivid, thoughtful ideas that should shape green design. For too long, he says, architects and designers have dismissed sustainability, when instead they should be embracing it. "I propose we try to collapse the divide between design and sustainability, and work toward making them the same thing," he said at GreenBiz Forum 2014.
