Plastic Bank's David Katz on cross-sector solutions to ocean plastic pollution

Without waste management infrastructure, plastic becomes more than an environmental problem — it becomes a social problem. Plastic Bank is placing value on plastic waste to incentivize reuse and recycling in impoverished areas around the world. 

With partners SC Johnson and others, Plastic Bank is working in Bali, Indonesia to economically develop market mechanisms that turn ocean plastic and social plastic into opportunities for sustainability.
