What Will it Take for Brands to Fix Recycling?

Just about everyone knows we need to fix recycling, which has plateaued or decreased at the same time that public concern over plastic and other waste has grown. At the same time, there’s growing momentum toward circular packaging and products. But whose job is it to fix recycling? With governments largely on the sidelines, society is turning to the private sector to reinvigorate or reinvent consumer recycling.

So, what is the role of brands and what will it take to align recycling rates with public concern over waste? In this conversation, we’ll investigate what companies are doing, what they can do and some of the lessons learned in partnering with retailers, governments and consumers themselves.
